Care You Can Count On
The Best in Dental Implants
With the rapid improvements in dentistry, dentures and bridges are no longer the only options to replace missing teeth. Dental implants offer the same look, feel and functionality as regular teeth, allowing patients to live comfortably and smile confidently.
Generally speaking, a dental implant refers to a fixture that is placed into and bonded with bone in the jaw. A custom-made crown is then cemented or screwed on to the implant. Dental implants can replace a single missing tooth or many lost teeth. A permanent fixture, most dental implants will serve the patient for life.
Dr. Schwartz has been evolving with the field of dentistry from when implants first came onto the scene many years ago to the present day where implants are, in many cases, the preferred method to replace missing teeth. His cosmetic dentist experience in preparing crowns is a natural fit for installing implants with natural looking, durable and long-lasting crowns.
Considering treatment to replace missing teeth?
For implant cases, Dr. Schwartz coordinates with an expert oral surgeon to ensure tooth extraction and implant placement occurs correctly, in a surgical environment, and without complications. Dr. Schwartz prepares a temporary crown to satisfy esthetics while the bone and gum is allowed to heal for a period of three to four months.
At this point, an abutment to hold a crown is placed on the implant, molds are taken of the area and fabrication on a permanent crown begins.
The final appointment consists of either cementing or screwing the crown on to the abutment, completing the process.
